Kamiar Ghoseiri
MSc. Kinesiology, MSc. & PhD. Orthotics and Prosthetics

Kamiar is an Orthotic Resident and has clinical and research background in Orthotics and Prosthetics. He came to us with several years of clinical practice experience in both disciplines of Orthotics and Prosthetics from Iran. He has spent many years at different schools for learning, teaching, and doing research; as well as attending and presenting at many workshops and seminars.  Experiencing clinical practice at different working environments all have provided him with proper insight on evidence-based practice. He likes innovative clinical practice and applying new technologies to improve the healthcare of his patients.

Kamiar is proud of growing up in a well-educated Kurdish family in Tehran, the capital city of Iran. In spite of the promising socioeconomic position in Iran, he moved to Canada to follow his interests, experience a better life, and reach more progression in the field. He said by moving to Canada “I pressed the restart button”, by which means he started new experiences and new challenges.

Kamiar serves as a freelance reviewer for some prestigious journals in the fields of Prosthetics and Orthotics, Rehabilitation, Biomedical Engineering, and Orthopaedics. Therefore, when he is not at work, he is studying, doing research, or criticizing research papers. He likes traveling to be familiar with different cultures, biking, and moving around with his wife and their puppy.
